How to Keep Fit
A healthy body is very important to every one of us. When you are sick, you feel painful all over your body, have no energy to work; and the only thing you want to do is lying on the bed. When you are healthy, you can eat well, sleep well, sing and jump happily, do all the things you like to enjoy life.
The methods to keep us fit vary. In the morning, you can get up early, go outdoors, breathe the fresh air, and do physical exercises. Running and swimming are extremely helpful to keep one fit. If you are a busy person and have no special time allocated to do these things, there are still some ways useful for to keep fit. The easiest way is to walk to your office instead of riding a bike or taking a bus. You also have to take a routine physical check - up. Your doctor will know the condition of your body most clearly, and he will give you the most valuable advice to keep fit. You should always try to make yourself happy. If you feel happy, you can eat well, sleep well, and your body is sure to be in an excellent condition.
Health is the most valuable possession a person expects in his life. Try every means to keep fit is my advice to the people who want to live a happy life in this beautiful world.

Some people enjoy living together with their parents after they have grown up. They hold the opinion because, living with parents , they can take better care of their parents and vice versa. Others, however, prefer to live separately. They cherish the idea to be independent of their parents, seek more freedom and wish to have a place of their own, in which they can do what they like. Besides, they don’t want to be overprotected by their parents but long for chance to face the society by themselves.
As to me, I like an independent life style in spite of the fact I love my parents. Different generations have different life styles and values. What one generation likes may not be another generation’s fondness. Living separately, each generation can enjoy different value. In addition, by leading an independent life, I can train my character and develop my own ability to deal with things encountered in my life.

There are only three girls who are good at handwriting — Rose, Mary and Lucy. It might belong to Rose, but I’m not sure because she is not so good at English.

To Be Strong, Wise and Good
Once upon a time, there lived three brothers in a faraway land. Their names were Strong-Arm, Wise-Head and Good-Heart.
Strong-Arm spent all his time very happily running, jumping, throwing spears and swimming.
Wise-Head, too, was very happy. He spent all his time reading, writing, learning and making things with his hands.
Good-Heart was the happiest of all. He spent all his time helping his brothers and cooking their food.
One day they saw a girl on the top branch of a great tree, which no one could ever climb, calling “Help! Help!”
Good-Heart was always ready to help anyone in trouble. So he asked his two brothers for help.
Wise-head thought about the problem. He worked out the height of the tree, made a piece of long string, and tied a stone to one end of it. Then he told Strong-Arm to throw the stone over the highest branch.
Then Wise-Head tied a long thick rope to the string, and pulled the other end of the string until the rope, too, went right over the branch and down again.
So Strong-Arm climbed up the rope, and brought the little girl safely to the ground.
The three brothers all felt wonderfully happy because they had saved the girl.
The girl was actually a fairy. She changed herself into the Queen of the Good Spirits. She had come to teach the brothers a lesson in cooperation.
“Look,”the Queen of the Good Spirits said,“Being only strong or only wise or only good is not enough. The best thing is to be strong and wise and good.”
So the three brothers lived happily all their life, doing things together.

Some people say that the government should not put money on building theatres and sports stadiums. They should spend more money on medical care and education.
Do you agree or disagree?
Much discussion concerning allocation of resources assumes that the government should spend money on medicine and education rather than on theatres and sports stadiums. In my opinion, this issue should be examined from the angle of whether the investment benefits the great majority of the population.
The institutions of medical care and education, undoubtedly, should receive priority in the allocation of a governments expenditures, at the thought of millions of children from deprived backgrounds who now get a substandard education, and who would require a relatively high quality of education if they are to enjoy anything approaching equality of opportunity in later life. Another pressing need of society is improvement of medical care for the adult poor, for the aged, and so forth down the list.
Theatres and sports stadiums are institutions for promoting human culture. A successful theatrical event is an exciting and stimulating experience, whether it occurs in a grand theatre or a high school auditorium. Spectators as well as those involved in the production feel this excitement. Sports stadiums, on the other hand, attract millions of spectators to watch professionals play every year. Many more millions watch games on television, read about them in newspapers, and discuss them with their friends. Therefore, can we say that these are unnecessary public expenditures the government should ignore?
